What is recommended as a coupler for 350 chevy with ZF45C gear?

Hello:

The 1004650008 is the damper from Borg Warner that matches what you have in your picture.

The 860125T is the damper that Mercruiser use to use back in the day with Hurth and 350 small blocks (see picture). Note that it only has six springs. We don't tend to use this one and instead use the next one below which is really for the big block.

862975A2 is the one that we tend to use for the 350s although Mercruiser says only to use it for the big blocks. It is a different design and people claim it cuts down on clatter.

And finally the R140018 is the Crusader version of the damper plate. This seems to be the same as 862975A2 but is quite a bit less expensive.

So in summary the 1004650008 is the one that you have now and the R140018 is the type that is now recommended more often.
